The Citrus County Tax Collector’s Office is an agent for the Division of Motorist Services. The office offers a variety of services including issuing Driver Licenses and ID Cards.

Driver License Education Requirements:
The law required that effective July 1, 2025, individuals under 18 years of age who were applying for a driver license in the state of Florida take a new 6-hour DETS course to meet the minimum requirements
All approved DETS course providers are located on the DETS Course page on the Department’s public website which will be updated with new providers as they are approved by FLHSMV. Providers can be found on the link below.
